“Sarah and I bought our first investment property (penthouse apartment in Mooloolaba) in April 2002. This was an on spec type purchase, negatively geared and holiday rented. After 6 months of this, Sarah and I informed the onsite manager that we wanted a permanent tenant, as the costs associated with holiday rental were so high.
